What I have found is that being a creative fictional short story writer and content creator is bloody hard work and a lot less glamorous than it looks.
As I love to travel and experience new places I had the idea that I would like to share with others how much fun and enriching it can be to travel solo. This is where my creative side perks up though as my idea for “Tigi’s Travels” was borne.
Combining fiction with travel facts and information into short stories I thought perhaps this would be an entertaining way to share with others who are at the beginning of their travel journey, or just want a little bit of extra info or suggestion for things to do in particular places or Countries.
The travel for me is the ‘easy’ part, what I didn’t realise is getting that information across in a meaningful, friendly, and informative way on social media isn’t always as easy as we are led to believe. I have been on a steep learning curve for the past several months, and I am still climbing!
So if you are curious about what my other activities are in my ‘behind the scenes’ life, tune in to Conversation Corner. If you have a good chuckle or laugh at my challenges and endeavours, then that’s good too!
My website is divided into two main sections for easy navigation. The section called ‘The Old Farts Club’ is all about the day to day realities of ageing as a couple of old farts (handyman & me) as we travel the ‘Third Chapter’ of life together. The ‘Solo Traveller’ includes “Tigi’s Travels” which are the fictional stories of a 60+ woman. In this section I have also included reviews, articles, and information from my own travel itineraries.
I am hoping to introduce a new ‘chat function’ for paid Subscribers at some point in the future if that is what people would like and find a need for.
